Notes
Red berries are high in antioxidants and flaxseeds high in omega 3 fatty acids such as alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which protect the cardiovascular system and help reduce inflammation. One serving contains approximately 1.4g of omega 3. Flaxseeds are also high in lignans, which are polyphenols which help stabilise oestrogen hormone abnormalities, protect against breast and prostate cancer and reduce DHT, a form of testosterone which has been linked to male patterned hair-loss and benign prostate hyperplasia. Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc, which supports progesterone production and tryptophan, which is a precursor to serotonin. This is an ideal breakfast that can be incorporated into a seed-cycling protocol.
