If functional testing is suitable for you

Dr. Meyer may request that you receive further standard diagnostic blood work either independently or from your general practitioner, such as testing for vitamin (e.g. folate, vitamin B12, D) and mineral deficiencies (e.g. iron), checking inflammatory markers, hormone levels, blood sugar, cholesterol, prostrate markers, thyroid hormone levels etc.
In addition to standard testing, functional testing can also be recommended, such as food sensitivity tests, the DUTCH test which measures female hormones, Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) breath test for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) sufferers, extensive bowel function testing to ascertain functioning of the bowel and presence of permeable gut/ leaky gut, DNA testing to assess detoxification status and metabolic conditions and more.
