A delicious and nutritious breakfast bowl that is packed with protein, antioxidants from the red berries, pomegranate and dragon fruit powder.
Ingredients
- 150g (5.3oz or ⅔ cup) Greek yoghurt / plant-based alternative
- 60g (3.5oz or ¾ cup) red berries
- 1 tbsp dragon fruit powder
- 30g (1oz or 1/4 cup) low-carb granola mix (see recipes below)
- 50g (1.76 oz (1.8 oz/ ⅓ cup) pomegranate
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients with the low-carb granola mix and enjoy.
Notes
Dragon fruit contains betalains and other antioxidants and vitamins which help protect against cancer, microbes, heart disease, and they are high in vitamin C, potassium omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. Try to include the powder in smoothies and breakfast bowls for extra taste, nutrition and goodness.
Having balanced meals packed with healthy protein and fats, especially with seeds that contain omega 3 fatty acids, will help to balance blood sugar and cortisol levels, keeping you fuller for longer, minimising cravings and helping balancing hormones. The various seeds in the granola mix also help to balance hormones with their phytoestrogen & micronutrient content.
